Hi,
I created and ODBC in System DNS on the server using ACEODBC drivers version 14.00.4760.1000 32 bits.
Then I try to create a linked server to that ODBC
EXEC
sp_addlinkedserver@server =N'SwitchMeasuresLCM',@srvproduct =N'',@provider=N'MSDASQL',@datasrc =N'SwitchMeasuresLCM';
and when testing the connection, I receive the following error.
" for linked server "SWITCHMEASURES" reported an error. The provider did not give any information about the error.
Cannot initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "SWITCHMEASURES". (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 7399)
I ran the query select@@version
--> Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (RTM) - 10.0.1600.22 (Intel X86) Jul 9 2008 14:43:34 Copyright (c) 1988-2008 Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition on Windows NT 5.2 <X86> (Build 3790: Service Pack 2)
Office Installed is Office 2007 Enterprise SP2 32 bits.
