We have a table in a database which has a column of type image. The database has grown tremendously in size so we wanted to move the data in the image column to disk and we did to part of the records. After moving it and doing re-indexing the database size remains the same though we have 50+ GB in the available space. How can I get that space released into the hard disk?
We tried shrinking, but when I tried shrinking it was taking a long time and the process goes into "SUSPENDED".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
