Database Encryption at rest

Hi,

We are considering the option of Database encryption - at - rest (which means data files encrypted on storage). We are considering the use of the appliance Brocade Encryption Switch which will encrypt the data on the SAN and decrypt the Data for SQL.

Question: What feedback can you provide regarding this implementation?  Will this introduce a noticeable Delay to SQL Reads and Writes.
