When i execute a select query on a SQL view, which has few nested views which internally uses linked server, sometimes randomly I get this error<o:p></o:p>
The OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI10" for linked server "ServerName" reported a change in schema version between compile time ("177820239265644") and run time ("177833124212915") for table "DatabaseName"."dbo"."ViewName"".”<o:p></o:p>
This is somewhat similar to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2498818, but we are not using a synonym. <o:p></o:p>
We are using Sql Server 2008 R2 SP1.I applied the 2544793 Cumulative Update package 1 for SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 on the server recommended in the above mentioned article.
The cumulative update resolved the issue on some machines, but one particular machine the issue did not resolve. The issue seems to occur randomly once a day. To recover from the issue we have to restart the SQL server service.<o:p></o:p>
Are there any workarounds or resolutions for this issue ?<o:p></o:p>
