Commit_Table WaitType

We experience periodic slowness on queries pulling changetracking data through the ChangeTable function. We are on SQL Server 2008 R2 version and CU updates to 10.50.2811, and in SnapSHot isolation. Sometimes CPU spikes to 100%, but other times when the queries are slow CPU is still at 50%. We have ChangeTracking enabled on a main corporate server with ChangeTracking enabled, and 1600 other servers connecting hourly throughout the day, and one big data sync at night. I ran one of the queries during a slow period that ran for 18 minutes. A half an hour later, the same query ran for 3 seconds. When we experience the slow period the connections, the connections almost always show a WaitType of Commit_Table. However, I cannot seem to find much information on Commit_Table WaitType.

Does anyone have any information on this WaitType? Just today, I saw the queries reach a 35 minute timeout even though there were no data changes between this and the last time they synced. CPU was good. I saw no blocking processes. We have been unable to find any other process that could be using up server resources. We don’t see anything in the logs that points to the issue. We have a retention of 21 days on changetracking. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
