Hi,
I have an admin on site that I am working with that is stating that SQL Server Agent needs to be running for tempdb to be able to do processing.
There is no job running that is enabling an object relative to Tempdb but he is stating that the agent needs to be turned on so his report can churn on certain aspects within tempdb.
In my 20 years as a DBA I have never heard of this but I could not find any documentation that would prove that this does not work like this.
Any response from a MSFT engineer or MVP's would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
A SQL Server MVP or MSFT Eng should be replying soon as well. Hope this helps. Frank Garcia *** Please select "Vote As Helpful" if the information provided was helpful to you.
