Hi folks. I'm having a problem with my SQL Server. I had the Express version up and running for class, then ran into an exercise that needed Enterprise. Now that I have Enterprise downloaded and installed, I'm getting error 26 messages
when I try to connect. (I'm running this on my personal computer, so I'm not trying to connect remotely, which makes this even stranger.) It says: "Cannot Connect to <instance name> Additional information: A network
related or instance specific error occurred while trying to connect to SQL Server. The server was not found or is not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct, and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections." I've done every trouble shooting thing I can think of. The configuration page shows the instance as running, TCP/IP is enabled, and I'm trying to connect to my own hard drive. I'm extremely frustrated with this, and I have homework late because
of it. Does anyone have any suggestions that may assist me? I can use all the help I can get.
