Hi all,
Yesterday, our Computer Team ran x64/SqlLocalDB.MSI to install SQL Server 2012 Express LocalDB in my C://Program Files/Microsoft SQL Server/110/LocalDB/Binn/ for me. This morning, I clicked on sqlservr.exe and I got the following: SQL Server Your SQL Server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with (Error getting instance ID from name). Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem.
Before I executed sqlservr.exe, I created 3 new tables (with their data populated by using "Edit Top 200 Rows") in a database "APG10pointsMMRP" of my Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Management Studio (SSMS 2012). Does this 3-Table creation cause the installation of SQL Server 2012 Express LocalDB corrupt or tempered? Do I have to execute "sqlservr.exe" right afte it is installed? What else can cause this SQL Server 2012 Express LocalDB corrupt? Please kindly help and advise.
Thanks in advance,
Scott Chang
