Can't automatically delete maintenance report (txt) files in SQL 2012

Working my way through SQL Server 2012 in preparation for upgrading development next month, and its going very well.

Microsoft has tweaked the SQL Server Management Studio design-a-backup maintenance plan feature, they removed the "cleanup backup files" and "cleanup report files" tasks from the toolbox. I found the replacement for "cleanup backup files", there is an option to expire data sets after a certain number of days or a certain date. However what is the replacement for deleting the maintenance plan report text files after a certain number of iterations? Its not good for them to just keep adding every night, true they take very little space, but its a mess and makes things hard to find. And I really don't want to go in every now and then and delete them manually, there must be a better way.

I looked in Books Online but could find nothing. Appreciate your help!
