Hi all,
I just have Windows 7 and Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (and Microsoft SQL 2012 Express as well) installed in our Microsoft NT 4 LAN System. I tried to get Microsoft Server 2012 started in my Windows 7: I clicked on "Start" => Microsoft SQL Server 2012: it has (i) Import and Export Data (64-bit): Database Server Properties: "General" tab has the following things:
Name: NAB-WK-012345\SQLEXPRESS
Status: Running
Product: Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition (64-bit)
Class: Unknown
Product Version: 11.0.2100.60
Memory: 0(MB)
(ii) Configuration Tools.
I am not able to understand what I have in this "Import and Export Data (64-bit)" and how I can do for "Database connections in ArcGIS 10.1 for Desktop" !!!??? I used to employ Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express (it still in my PC) as a database for T-SQL and ArcGIS 10.0 works using the 32-bit thing. I am confused with the 64-bit thing in Windows 7 greatly. Please kindly help, explain the 64-bit thing in Windows 7 first and then tell me how I can get the"Import and Export data (64-bit)" started and how I can get my NAB-WK-012345\SQLEXPRESS (or the regular Microsoft SQL Server 2012) connected to ArcGIS 10.1 progrm.
Thanks,
Scott Chang
