Hi All,
I need some help understanding .ndf Secondary File group Behavior.
our production DB .mdf file was getting full so management decided to create .ndf file on different drive with secondary file group as default.
i used db property and created file group first and mark it as default, and then added new file with secondary file group and saved it ( OK)
now after some time i got fired with data not adding / taking more time and new data does not showed up.
so i deleted new .ndf file and recreated .ndf with primary file group and make primary file group as default. and it started working.
Dont know what could have happened or i missed any step when i created a secondary file group.
Any Suggestion please.
